Children's Program

The welfare of children is one of the United Nations (UN) greatest areas of concentration. NAVTI, like the UN, believes this class of society deserves our attention and commitment, which is why we have established programs with the goal of developing children: the nursery schools schemes and the orphan and vulnerable children scheme.

The orphan and vulnerable children scheme which is one of our core focuses, has been designed to help underprivileged children-especially orphans and poor children. Our community is home to an alarming number of orphans as a result of the high occurrence of premature deaths from HIV/AIDS amongst parents.

This program is managed by foreign volunteers and NAVTI sponsors the children's education by covering school fees, school uniforms, exercise and text books, school bags and medication when health problems occur. In the most critical cases we can sometimes help with feeding allowances averaging €36.50 per child, we have sponsored more than 316 children since 2005.
