Volunteering
The NAVTI Foundation aims to promote volunteering in and from outside our community to bring in human resources to help our under privileged community. Read more information about our volunteer scheme, interested parties can apply by completing the volunteer form, which contains additional details about the scheme, or emailing us at info@navtifoundation.org
We bring people and then place them to work with us or other organisations, which are in need of expert knowledge, whom they cannot have locally. For instance we have brought volunteers to assist the community in examining their problems, in bring our suggestions and helping the community members write the projects so as to start looking for assistance.
We also promote exchange of human resources for community growth at cheaper cost whereas these resources wouldn't have been available if they were to be paid. Hence we have a volunteer service department to follow up with the volunteer and see that they achieve their aims of coming to our community and they also contribute to the growth of our community before leaving.
This project looks at how:
- Our members can assist in other areas of the community without really thinking of compensation. Most often, many of our community projects are not able to afford for enough income to meet up with their expenditure. So they need some people with skills they require to assist them for free.
- International Volunteers: There are also avenues for international volunteers to come over to our centre and community to assist us in our various projects.
Hence we try to promote the spirit of volunteering amongst our community so as to help those who cannot pay for benefit at least from knowledge and services we can render. We have so far received more then 35 volunteers from Canada, Japan, Hong Kong, Germany, Switzerland, Iceland etc. They have helped us work in our women schemes, orphans and rural extension projects.
