Philanthropic gestures to needy individuals
The NAVTI Foundation has been very sensitive to the plight of the very desperate individuals who were identified in one desperate disaster or condition or the other. We consequently stepped in to remedy such unbearable and inhuman mishaps of some persons in our community.
Soneta's House Report
Soneta is one of the orphans we sponsor whose parents died of HIV/AIDS and she has been living with the grand mother who does small business. They live in a 3 room house built of local material and poor roof which leaks a lot when rain falls. Hence we fundraised 500 euros to re-roof the house to give them a better living condition.
Bridget's House Report
Bridget’s family has three children sponsored under our OVC program. The family is living only on farming since the father in the family died. The mother had to take care of five children and the sick grandmother, which is so difficult for them. All the family members were once living only in a small kitchen because their original house had the walls which are almost collapsed and roofs which are leaking. It was so dangerous for them to live the house. Hence we fundraise 600 euros to help them rebuild the old house.
Christel's House Report
Christel is one of the children we sponsor, his grandmother is the main care taker of all the grand children left over after their own parents died subsequently in previous years. The family is so large that the grandmother finds it very difficult to give the children even enough food.
They were living in the house belong to their relatives, but they were always being driven from the house. Although the grandmother had her own house, she had no money to pay for the zinc roofs and cement the walls, so the house with only bricks was just left idle for almost three years in such a way that it started to get spoiled. Hence, we fundraised 1000 euros to help them complete the house.
